In support of the Company’s business development, we are looking for a high calibre Corporate Affairs professional to join the Corporate Affairs (Business Operations) Department of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. The appointee will be responsible for planning and executing communication plans and programmes to enhance public understanding of the company’s position and vision in powering Hong Kong responsibly as well as to promote our corporate image as a reliable electricity provider. The appointee will be responsible for the followings:
- Provide advice and support to business lines and functions on external communication matters, including media communications, and crisis and issues management
- Plan and implement media communications strategy and publicity plan to promote corporate image
- Monitor and analyse media and stakeholders sentiment and develop relevant communication plan and strategy
- Handle media enquiries, develop and maintain good relationship with the media
- Handle collateral and video production, prepare presentation materials, write speeches and press releases, etc.
- Assist and perform other corporate affairs duties as required
Requirements:
- A recognised university degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or other related disciplines
- A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in public affairs, corporate communications, or media relations. Experience in journalistic field is a plus
- Strong sensitivity in current affairs and political landscape, and versatile in issues management, stakeholder engagement and publicity
- Able to deal with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve the business objectives
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- A good team player who is proactive, result-oriented, able to work independently and under pressure to deal with complex and multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with creative personality
- Willing to work irregular hours and outside office hours
