Role Overview:
CLPe is developing new businesses (energy infrastructure, building energy management (BEM), e-Mobility, etc.) in Hong Kong and Mainland China with focus on the Greater Bay Area. This job is to oversee activities including development of business strategies and management of strategic projects for CLPe business, with a strong focus on BEM.
Responsibilities:
• Support CLPe Management to formulate business strategy for existing and new businesses in Hong Kong and Mainland China with the focus on Building Energy Management (BEM).
• Lead or critically support strategic initiatives / projects for development of Building Energy Management business in Hong Kong and Mainland GBA
• Lead or critically support other strategic initiatives / projects which are crucial to short term business results and long-term development of CLPe business in energy infrastructure, e-Mobility, e-Commerce, etc.
• Explore new business opportunities for CLPe beyond the currently business scope
• Leverage business partnership and stakeholder relationship to explore business opportunities for CLPe in the Greater Bay Area
• Support staff develop skills and capabilities necessary to implement business strategies effectively for future business growth of CLP in the GBA.
Requirements:
• A recognized university degree with post-graduate degree preferred, preferably in the areas of building services, building energy management or associated fields
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, excellent negotiation and influencing skills and experiences.
• At least 10 years’ experience across a wide range of business fields such as strategy, commercial, building energy management, smart energy, new business development, in Hong Kong and China
• Strong credential in building services, building energy management or associated areas.
• Extensive managerial experience in leading teams to implement various strategies.
• Ability to understand market, customers, and competitors to formulate strategies to sustain business growth, identify new niche markets, minimize commercial risks and develop new business opportunities.
• Excellent communications and presentation skills and experiences to deliver convincing presentation and communicate with clients.
• Strong network, with stakeholder handling and influencing skills at senior management levels.
