CLP has embarked on a journey to becoming a “Utility of the Future” which is customer-centric, agile and digitally-enabled. The company is launching strategic transformation initiatives across the business in which next generation technologies will play a pivotal role.
We are looking for a high caliber individual to join the Digital Strategy & Planning team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the project governance framework and processes to effectively manage portfolio and project execution and related risks.
• Formulate and develop frameworks, policies and processes to manage risk effectively in a prudent yet efficient manner.
• Independently assess the effectiveness of controls, determine the impact of control issues and identify opportunities of improvement.
• Plan, lead and execute strategic/tactical initiatives on governance controls and risk management
• Ensure project management framework and project quality assurance is effectively applied and is compliant with standards.
• Monitor key risk indicators and mitigation plan progress and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Manage internal and external audits within Digital including internal control activities.
• Maintain and develop policy and standards and provide delivery of governance forums on digital / technology risks including tracking and reporting
• Promote risk and governance awareness and competency through communications, training and workshops.
• Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Requirements:
• A recognized university degree
• At least 6 years of experience in risk management and internal control
• Professional credentials such as PMP, Prince 2 are highly regarded. Previous work experience in Enterprise Risk consulting (Big 4 audit) is a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English
• Strong sense of ownership of outcomes and confidence to assess and express ones own view on how to drive outcomes
• Experience in risk management and streamlining of governance frameworks
• Developing policies and standards within large organizations or experience in consulting
• Good listening skills with ability to multitask
• Good communication skills in both written and verbal communication
• Ability to think out of the box and engage wide spectrum of stakeholders
• High-energy, a proactive adaptive problem solver, organized, flexible and comfortable navigating through ambiguity
• Demonstratable commitment to continuous learning
