工作描述和要求

Technical Services Department – Protection Engineering Branch is looking for capable caliber to join their team. Reporting to the senior engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out evaluation, application, fault investigation, testing and installation activities in the areas of protection and relay issues in power systems.

Plan, organize and carry out effective and timely protection activities, including relay evaluation, project comment, system improvement projects, maintenance policy review, installation, testing, commissioning and fault investigation

Prepare and review safety, work, quality and other documents to ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Identify correct work methods, review and analyze the results and make recommendations in working procedures and activities related to protection and relays for generation, transmission and distribution systems

Assist senior engineers in various business activities including financial management, procurement and training

Compile reports / statistics and carry out feasibility studies to improve work performance and productivity

Perform standby duties, emergency call-out, and typhoon standby duties outside office hours as required

Requirements:

A recognized university degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or equivalent

At least 3 years’ experience in the installation, testing, fault investigation and/or modification of protection equipment or associated systems

Proficiency in use of PC applications, preferably with experience in computer programming

Familiarity with CLP Power Safety Rules, relevant engineering standards and codes of practice is an advantage

Be mindful and has good safety awareness

Proven interpersonal and team-building skills

Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts in English and Cantonese, verbal and written

Possession of a valid Driving License would be preferable

Candidates with less qualification and/or experience but demonstrate good potential for further development will be considered for a position at lower grade.
