工作描述和要求

We are looking for a high calibre engineering professional to join Substation & Facilities Section of Civil Branch in Transmission Department. Reporting to Senior Engineer, the appointee will be responsible for following duties:

Supervise the maintenance and repair of substations including the building structure, building facilities, auxiliary equipment, building services, fire protection system and slope
Manage improvement projects and building maintenance contracts including tender evaluation, budget planning & control and project management
Issue and sign the Certificate of Maintenance (FS251) for certifying the completion of maintenance on fire protection systems in accordance with government legislations
Assist in:

preparing feasibility study, budget, design, and engineering of transmission improvement / renovation projects in accordance with statutory, safety, technical, cost, quality, and customer requirements
managing contractor activities, negotiation and attending site meetings with various stakeholders for different infrastructure and external projects
carrying out pre-commissioning checks and commissioning tests on substation equipment

Carry out fault / defect investigation, diagnosis, analysis, and repairs
Implement control procedures and practices on project management, operations, and contractor performance in accordance with the Company’s Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) management systems
Arrange training for Technical Professional/Technical Operations staff
Perform duty under adverse weather conditions, and standby or emergency call-out duty outside normal office hours and / or shift work if and when required

Requirements:

A recognized University degree in relevant Engineering discipline
At least 3 years’ relevant experience in the Power industry with preference to those with experience in project management, operations, and maintenance activities of substations or relevant industrial premises
Possession of following qualifications would be an advantage:

Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker (REW)
Registered Class III Fire Service Installation (FSI) Contractors
Grade I Plumber’s License

A valid Driving License class 1/1a and 2/2a
Familiarity with CLP Power Safety Rules, engineering standards and codes of practice is preferable
Good safety awareness and mindset
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadline
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese
Customer-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player

Candidate with less qualification and/or experience but demonstrates good potential for further development will be considered for a position at lower grade.
