Key responsibilities:
- Understanding current processes and pain points, future business needs and system capabilities
- Working with Digital team and SI to ensure business requirements are understood and taken into technical design considerations
- Identifying the functionalities required and business requirements in the to-be solution, working closely with the Team Lead to articulate business needs
- Providing input for the to-be process design, implementation and testing stage from a focused area perspective
- Providing direction on best practice in the processes of the focused areas from their own knowledge
- Providing guidance on the definition of processes and policies, standards and procedures
- Evaluating the business processes and operations by implementing subject expertise
- Testing the ERP solution and providing feedback to the project team regarding the accuracy and usability
Requirements:
- University degree in Business, Procurement and Supply Chain, Information Technology or other relevant discipline
- Membership and/or qualification from a procurement professional body (e.g. CIPS, ISM, etc.) and/or engineering body (e.g. HKIE, IET, etc.) is preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain and inventory management/warehousing roles with relevant category expertise
- Skills in category management, demand & supply management, supplier profile management & pre-qualification, supplier relationship & performance management, supply risk management and knowledge management
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration in complex programme structures with multiple workstreams and third-party suppliers
- Agile ways of working experience are beneficial
Technical / Functional Competencies:
- Strong professional track records or deep technical skills relating to procurement and inventory management leading practices applied across diverse categories and organisations is required
- Assertive with outstanding influencing and communication skills
- Good understanding on the language/terms/jargon in the specific area(s) of expertise
- Understanding in ERP systems is a bonus
