Description & Requirements

We are looking for a high calibre professional to join the Risk & Opportunity team of the Financial Control (HK). The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

Assess risk & opportunity exposure levels by defining, developing and maintaining a set of qualitative or quantitative measures which objectively value and interpret uncertainties and exposures associated with commercial risk-taking activities
Liaise and coordinate with Business Groups’ Risk & Opportunity Champions to critically evaluate the collected risk and opportunity related information
Develop risk & opportunity management reporting and provide insights on risk & opportunity implications to the Risk Management Committee and relevant CLPP’s colleagues
Prepare risk & opportunity management training materials and provide trainings / workshops to staff
Conduct regular review and verification on the effectiveness of the mitigating measures
Develop and produce methodology, tools and reports on risk rewards trade-off analysis for stakeholders. Includes but not limited to cost-benefit analysis, risk stress-testing analysis, project prioritization scoring tool

Requirements:

A recognised university degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
A minimum of 8 years of relevant commercial / operation experience with exposure to energy, utilities companies preferably
Possess professional risk management / management consulting / engineering / IT qualification(s)
Experience of financial risk management tools and techniques possibly including financial model simulation and/or cost-benefit quantitative analysis is an advantage
Strong analytical mind and problem-solving abilities with commercial awareness under complex situation
Good leadership, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and capability to communicate effectively at all levels in both spoken and written English and Chinese
A strong sense of independence and ownership to achieve the required business outputs with minimal supervision, plus the need to recommend process change and lead for crystallisation of changes under dynamic business environment
