Description & Requirements

We are looking for a high caliber Building Services engineering professional to join the Civil Construction Section of Civil Branch in our Transmission Department. Reporting to the Senior Building Services Engineer, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

Ensure building services systems of transmission substation projects are carried out in accordance with the HSEQ, customer, cost, and statutory requirements from project inception (including feasibility study stage) to handover, while meeting the demanding project schedules

Coordinate with consultants, suppliers / contractors, inspectors, government bodies and all relevant parties in the development and design phases of the projects to ensure good performance in accordance with contract requirements

Prepare technical specifications for procurement and provision of building services installation. Evaluate and select suppliers and services contractors to ensure they can meet the technical specifications and engineering standards.

Devise and implement systems to manage the performance of contractors

Plan and control the project activities including material and resources utilization on building services aspects

Supervise the site work of the contractors when necessary and liaise with relevant government departments to obtain occupation permit

Ensure that work practices for quality assurance and management systems for control and risk mitigation are properly executed

Perform other duties as and when required

Requirements:

A recognized university degree in Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

At least 3 years’ relevant experience in design, construction, and / or management of building services installation projects

Good understanding on the requirements of Fire Services Department including fire services installation, would be an advantage

Good safety awareness and mindset

Ability to work independently and with proven communication and interpersonal skills

Customer-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player

A valid Driving License class 1, 2 would be an advantage

Experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) would be an advantage
