Description & Requirements
We are looking for an Accountant to join the Financial Accounting – CLP Power team of our Financial Reporting & Compliance Department in CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. Reporting to the Associate Manager – Financial Accounting, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
- Perform analysis on financial reporting and fixed assets accounting for period-end accounts closing, tax and regulatory purposes
- Assist to oversee the fixed assets accounting process according to the Company’s policy and procedures
- Prepare statutory accounts and reporting package to holding company
- Monitor the latest development in accounting standards and tax regulations, support relevant studies and implementation
- Provide professional advice and support to users for accounting related matters
- Lead and supervise a team of accounting staff for daily operation
- Ensure effective management control procedures are in place and in compliance with Group policy
- Participate in system and process improvements initiatives and other ad-hoc assignments
Requirements:
- A university degree in Accounting / Finance, preferably a member of a recognized accountancy body
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS office 365 Apps, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, knowledge in Power Automate and Power Query would be an added advantage
- Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese and Putonghua
- Experience in using ERP system e.g. SAP, Oracle
