Description & Requirements

We are looking for an Accountant to join the Financial Accounting – CLP Power team of our Financial Reporting & Compliance Department in CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. Reporting to the Associate Manager – Financial Accounting, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

Perform analysis on financial reporting and fixed assets accounting for period-end accounts closing, tax and regulatory purposes
Assist to oversee the fixed assets accounting process according to the Company’s policy and procedures
Prepare statutory accounts and reporting package to holding company
Monitor the latest development in accounting standards and tax regulations, support relevant studies and implementation
Provide professional advice and support to users for accounting related matters
Lead and supervise a team of accounting staff for daily operation
Ensure effective management control procedures are in place and in compliance with Group policy
Participate in system and process improvements initiatives and other ad-hoc assignments

Requirements:

A university degree in Accounting / Finance, preferably a member of a recognized accountancy body
At least 3 years’ relevant experience
Strong analytical, problem solving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Proficient in MS office 365 Apps, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, knowledge in Power Automate and Power Query would be an added advantage
Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese and Putonghua
Experience in using ERP system e.g. SAP, Oracle
