Description & Requirements
We are looking for high caliber professional with strong business acumen and treasury experience to provide analysis and insights to join Finance & Administration Department in our China Business Unit (CLP China). The appointee will be responsible for supporting treasury and business decision of CLP China through the provision of treasury / financing policies & plans, analytical reporting and proposal with consideration of CLP Group’s treasury policies, CLP China’s strategies & policies and sound accounting principles.
The Position Profile:
- Develop treasury and financing policies and plans to support business development and operation of CLP China.
- Identify and comprehend regulatory policies, market practices & development on fund management /treasury associated with CLP China’s operation and propose suitable transformation to adapt to changes.
- Undertake financial and commercial analyses to support corporate financing and ability to evaluate various financing structures and options suitable for CLP China’s business strategy and goal.
- Work with project teams to perform financial due diligence for M&A transactions and potential investment opportunities; identify key project risks and suggest mitigations to management where applicable.
- Oversee and monitor cash flow projections, dividend plan and funding requirements at entity level. Liaise closely with finance teams at asset level and report key treasury / financing matters requiring corporate/ Group’s attentions and guidance.
- Work with business, tax, treasury and legal teams and other relevant corporate units as appropriate in proposing business decisions.
- Perform other ad-hoc financial / treasury / investment holding assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- A recognised university degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline and related professional qualification issued by a recognised accountancy / investment association
- With a minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant working experience in investment, treasury controls, banking or financial institutions
- Sound knowledge of corporate financing, and the commercial and financing market in Mainland China
- Strong analytical capabilities and financing modeling skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong business acumen to provide analysis and insights
- Creative, independent, self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility
- Willing to travel, mainly within Chinese Mainland, as and when required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proficiency in both Putonghua (including writing and reading simplified Chinese) and English
- Familiar with SAP application would be an advantage
