Description & Requirements
We are looking for a passionate and high calibre finance professional to join the Finance Team of Generation Business Group. Reporting to Associate Director – Finance & Business Support (Generation), the appointee will be responsible to support the financial planning and budgetary controls, financial modelling and project accounting. The successful candidate will be required to work in the Power Stations located at Tuen Mun area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the preparation of the annual budget, ensure it is financially justified, timely prepared and updated for management approval;
- Develop and update the appropriate financial models and cash forecasts which are compatible with the Company’s corporate plan;
- Perform periodical monitoring and reporting on budget variances against the financial targets;
- Ensure effective systems in place for project accounting, including contract payments and loan administration;
- Assist in developing the control framework for project financing, project governance and contract compliance;
- Promote and strengthen the internal control awareness to ensure effective compliance with the Company’s policies, practices and guidelines;
- Provide professional advice and support to project management in relation to financial and control related matters;
- Contribute to continuous improvement and initiate changes proactively to improve process effectiveness and quality of information.
Requirements:
- A recognized university degree in Accounting or Finance, and professional qualification issued by a recognized accountancy association;
- At least 10 years’ relevant working experience;
- Proven interpersonal skills and capability to communicate effectively at all levels in both spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is a plus;
- Strong analytical mind and problem-solving abilities with good business acumen;
- Creative, independent and self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
- Familiar with SAP/Oracle would be an advantage.
